Ask your AI to run the poll

Polls for Gmail has an MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI assistants can create one-click email polls for you, hand back the email ready to send, and read the results when votes come in. Connect once with Google sign-in. Your assistant never gets access to your Gmail.

Tools

What your assistant can do

create_pollCreate a poll (single, multiple, yes/no, rating, ranked or open-ended) with an optional deadline, theme and anonymous voting. Returns email-ready HTML, a plain-text version and the vote link.
get_poll_resultsVotes per option, percentages and the leader, for open or closed polls.
list_pollsYour polls, newest first, with status and vote counts.
get_poll_emailRegenerate the ready-to-send email for an existing poll.

FAQ

Questions

What is the Polls for Gmail MCP server?

It’s a connector that lets AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP), like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, use Polls for Gmail. Your assistant can create one-click email polls, list your polls, read results and close polls. The server address is https://pollsforgmail.com/mcp.

Does my AI get access to my Gmail?

No. Connecting only lets the assistant manage your polls. It can’t read, send or change your email, and it never sees your Google password. If your assistant has its own email connector, it can use that to draft the email with the poll inside.

Do I need an account first?

No. When you connect, you sign in with Google. If you don’t have a Polls for Gmail account yet, a free one is created at that moment.

Does it cost extra?

No. It works on every plan, including Free. Polls created by your assistant count toward your plan like any other poll, and a poll only counts once it gets its first vote.

Who sends the poll email?

You do, through your assistant or your own email. The poll comes back as ready-to-paste email HTML plus a plain-text version with one-click links. Polls for Gmail never sends the email for you, so the poll arrives from you and gets the replies a personal email gets.

How do I disconnect?

Remove the connector in your AI app, and disconnect it in your dashboard under Settings → AI assistants. That immediately stops it from working.

Prefer to make polls yourself?

The Gmail add-on and Chrome extension put the poll builder right in your compose window.
