Just ask your assistant to use Polls for Gmail at pollsforgmail.com/mcp. Add it as a connector once (some assistants do this for you), sign in with Google, and then ask in plain English. Claude, Claude Cowork, ChatGPT, Dots and Meta Muse can all create one-click email polls this way, and if your assistant can also use your email, it can send them for you too.
Yes. Tell your assistant to use Polls for Gmail and give it the link. That’s really all it takes to get started. Some assistants add the connector themselves, and the rest need you to paste the link into their settings one time.
https://pollsforgmail.com/mcp) to send my team a poll about which day works for the offsite.Three things, and you probably have them already.
Look for a Connectors, Apps or Integrations page in its settings. Claude, Claude Cowork, ChatGPT and Meta Muse all have one.
You sign in with Google once. If you don’t have a Polls for Gmail account yet, a free one is made for you.
Optional. For hands-free sending, your assistant also needs to be connected to your email, like its Gmail connector.
The same five steps work in almost every assistant. The exact menu names for each app are below.
Copy https://pollsforgmail.com/mcp. That one link is all your assistant needs.
https://pollsforgmail.com/mcpIn Meta Muse or Claude Code, just ask the assistant to add it. Everywhere else, open your assistant’s settings, find Connectors (sometimes called Apps or Integrations), choose to add a custom connector, and paste the link.
Your assistant opens a Polls for Gmail page. Sign in with the Google account you use for email and click Allow. If you’re new, a free account is created for you.
To have the assistant send polls for you, connect your email in the same assistant, for example its Gmail connector. Skip this if you’d rather paste the poll into an email yourself.
Say something like “Send the team a poll about which day works for the offsite.” The assistant creates the poll, writes the email and, with your OK, sends it.
Menus move around as these apps update. If something looks different, search your assistant’s settings for “connector”.
https://pollsforgmail.com/mcp and click Add.Connectors you add to your Claude account also show up in Cowork. Claude’s Free plan allows one custom connector.
https://pollsforgmail.com/mcp and pick OAuth sign-in.Dots work with the apps connected to your ChatGPT account, so once Polls for Gmail is connected in ChatGPT you can ask your dot to run polls. Custom connectors need a paid ChatGPT plan.
https://pollsforgmail.com/mcp.Easiest way: just tell Muse: “Add a custom connector called Polls for Gmail with the URL https://pollsforgmail.com/mcp.” Meta doesn’t review custom connectors, so only add ones you trust.
https://pollsforgmail.com/mcp.No sign-in option? Use your personal API key from your dashboard Settings instead. The technical setup page shows how.
Talk to it like you’d talk to a helpful coworker. Be specific about who the poll is for and when it should close.
Make a poll asking the book club which novel we should read next: Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow; Demon Copperhead; or The Covenant of Water. Draft the email to the club.
Send my team a poll about which Friday works for the offsite. Show me the email before it goes out.
Every Monday at 9am, send the volunteers a yes or no poll asking if they can help on Saturday.
How is the offsite poll going? Who’s winning, and how many people have voted?
Close the book club poll and write a short email announcing the winner.
Create an anonymous 1 to 5 rating poll about today’s workshop that closes Friday at 5pm Eastern, and send it to everyone who attended.
Your assistant does the writing and sending. Polls for Gmail makes the poll and counts the votes.
Some assistants can do things on a schedule. If yours can, set it up once and forget about it.
“Every Monday morning, send the team a quick poll asking how their week looks.”
“The day after each workshop, send attendees a 1 to 5 rating poll.”
“On Friday at 5pm, close the lunch poll and tell everyone which place won.”
Scheduling depends on your assistant, not on Polls for Gmail. If it can’t run tasks on its own, it will still make and send the poll whenever you ask.
Add “show me the email first” to your request and nothing goes out without your OK.
Polls your assistant makes count toward your plan like any other poll, and only once they get a vote.
In your dashboard, open Settings, then AI assistants, and click Disconnect. It stops right away.
Your assistant may not support custom connectors on your plan, or the app may need an update. On ChatGPT, custom connectors need a paid plan. Try the web version of your assistant, where new settings usually show up first.
Your browser may have blocked a pop-up. Allow pop-ups for your assistant’s site and try connecting again.
It probably isn’t connected to your email. Connect its email or Gmail connector, or ask it to give you the poll so you can paste it into an email yourself.
Some assistants can only send plain text. The email will still have one link per answer, and each link counts a vote in one click.
That’s normal for Claude, Claude Cowork and ChatGPT. They can’t change their own settings. Paste https://pollsforgmail.com/mcp under Connectors once (the app-by-app section above shows where), then ask again.
Free plans include 3 starter polls, then 1 a month. A poll only counts once it gets a vote. You can see your plan and upgrade on the pricing page.
Yes. Tell it: “Use Polls for Gmail (https://pollsforgmail.com/mcp) to send my team a poll about Friday.” Meta Muse and Claude Code can add the connector themselves when you ask. Claude, Claude Cowork and ChatGPT need you to paste that link into their connector settings once, and they’ll point you to the right spot. After that, you just ask for polls in plain English.
Yes, if it can do two things: use a custom connector (so it can create the poll) and use your email (so it can send it). Claude, Claude Cowork, ChatGPT and Meta Muse can all add Polls for Gmail as a connector. To send without you pasting anything, the assistant also needs access to your email account, for example through its own Gmail connector.
Any assistant that supports custom connectors, also called MCP connectors. That includes Claude and Claude Cowork, ChatGPT on paid plans (and Dots, which uses the apps connected to your ChatGPT account), Meta Muse, and many others. If your assistant has a Connectors, Apps or Integrations page where you can paste a link, it will probably work.
No. You copy one link, paste it into your assistant's connector settings, sign in with Google and click Allow. After that you just ask for polls in plain English.
No. The Polls for Gmail connector can only create and manage your polls. It can’t read or send your email. Sending happens through whatever email access you give your assistant separately, and you can stay in the loop by asking it to show you a draft first.
Yes. Every poll comes with a plain-text version that has one link per answer, so people can still vote with one click. When the assistant can send HTML email, recipients see the full poll card with buttons.
Connecting is free on every Polls for Gmail plan. Polls your assistant creates count toward your plan like any other poll, and a poll only counts once it gets its first vote. Some assistants only allow custom connectors on their paid plans.
Open your Polls for Gmail dashboard, go to Settings, then AI assistants, and click Disconnect. It stops working right away. You can also remove the connector inside your AI app.
Copy the link, add it to your assistant, and send your first poll in a couple of minutes.
