# Polls for Gmail > Polls for Gmail is a Google Workspace add-on that lets you create polls inside Gmail and embed them in any email. Recipients vote in one click directly from their inbox — no account, no app, no link to follow. Only the poll creator needs an account. Free plan includes 5 starter polls, then 1 fresh poll every calendar month forever (non-stacking); on every plan, unvoted test polls are free — quota is only consumed when a poll receives its first vote. Free includes every poll type, color theme, voting deadline, hide-results option, voter identification, and email vote alerts; Standard is $75/year for 5 voted polls per calendar month; Pro is $120/year for unlimited polls plus up to 5 questions per poll, 20 options per question, vote reminders to non-voters (one-click manual or automatic 1–7 days after sending; each recipient gets at most one reminder per poll and voters are never re-emailed), reusable poll templates (a "Start from a previous poll" dropdown in the Gmail add-on prefills everything from a past poll; favorites can be pinned in dashboard Settings), CSV and Google Sheets export, poll creation from the dashboard, branding removal, and priority support. Key facts: - Install from the Google Workspace Marketplace; a poll icon appears in Gmail's compose sidebar. - Up to 10 options per question (20 on Pro), unlimited voters. - Multiple-choice polls (every plan, free included): the creator can pick multi-select so each voter picks more than one option. Results show each option's share of voters, which can total over 100%. - Seven poll types, all on every plan, free included: single choice, multiple choice, star rating (1–N stars, dashboard shows the average), ranked choice (voters order preferences; options scored by rank), yes/no (quick approval), open-ended (free-text responses collected in the dashboard), and date & time (offer slots; recipients pick every one that works). - Email vote alerts (an email when someone votes, batched to avoid flooding) are included on every plan and on by default; creators can turn them off in dashboard Settings. - Voter identification is available on every plan, free included, and is set per poll with three modes: Required (the creator picks which fields voters must enter — name, email, or both), Recommended (asked but optional), or Off (fully anonymous). Voters always see a clear notice; when on, the creator's dashboard shows exactly who voted for which option. - Results stream into a live dashboard at https://pollsforgmail.com/dashboard. - "Schedule it" (every plan, free included): date & time polls — and single/multiple-choice polls whose options are typed dates or times — get a Schedule button next to each time in the dashboard. One click opens Google Calendar's standard create-event page prefilled with the time, the default meeting length (set in Settings, 15 min–2 h), a description with the vote count, and every known recipient as a guest (recipients captured when the poll was sent from Gmail, plus voters who left an email). No calendar permissions are requested; the creator reviews and clicks Save, and Google Calendar asks before sending invitations. A one-time "Time's decided" email with a Schedule button is sent when the vote count reaches the number of captured recipients, when the deadline passes, or when a Zapier automation closes the poll; it always states which. Closing a poll manually offers the Schedule button in place instead of emailing. Both the buttons and the email can be turned off in Settings. - Poll designs (every plan): the in-email poll card comes in three shapes, Classic (color header band), Minimal (clean lines, no box) and Bold (tinted card with rounded pill buttons), each colored by one of four themes (Classic black, Mint, Lavender, Coral).
